Studied photography at the Hochschule für Bildende Braunschweig under Professor Michael Ruetz and design under Professor Manfred Bremeir. Since then, Anka Blank has worked as a freelancer in both disciplines and is also a lecturer for media.
In the course of her artistic work Anka developed the photo concept “endless”, in which she combines photography and design. By combining thematically related photos, she creates works of mosaic-like, almost ornamental effect, which follow their own rhythm. Her motifs include architecture, landscapes or even flowers, which are grouped together to create ever new and surprising pictorial effects.
In March 2020 Anka Blank begins her photo series “Corona Consequences” in the wake of the emerging pandemic, in which she processes her impressions of the lockdown and the changed living conditions in images and text.
“Corona Consequences”, Part I, comprises 8 chef d’oeuvres by Anka Blank that were created by analog photography and digital techniques. Each motif is produced in a small collector’s edition of 10 signed and numbered copies + 2 artist’s proofs, being individually available in different sizes and on different materials, such as wove paper, canvas or aludibond.
ArtCommunicators is proud to hold the exclusive rights to this rare edition to represent the work of Anka Blank.
