‘Dark Spots
Darkness covers the bright summer atmosphere. There are only a few moments of relaxation left to linger in one’s favourite place and enjoy the beautiful view. Unrest and polarisation all over the world affect the positive attitude towards life and make it slip into the background – overlaid by black circles. These are the dark spots, sombre world news and issues that have been ignored for a long time due to the focus on the coronavirus. They are now increasingly pushing into the foreground, expanding and bringing the virus to the periphery. The numbers of corona infections are rising again and make me pause in my work for a while.’
